Around here, we like to believe that the fountain in Fountain Hills, AZ is the tallest fountain in the world. In reality, it is the fourth tallest in the world and the second tallest in the USA; but let’s not get technical. At 520 feet, it feels like the tallest fountain in the world!
Don, Angela and I started the bike ride this afternoon right in front of the fountain. We rode North towards 9-mile hill, went up 3 miles uphill before making a small detour (where I took the picture of 4-peaks with snow) and turning back. It was a gorgeous but cold day today; it actually got quite cold by the time we returned.
I emailed Bill (my coach) about my racing schedule for 2013. He had a few suggested changes that I will incorporate and post it soon. For now, my concentration is on the following 3 races:
- January 20: PF Chang’s Phoenix Half Marathon
- February 22, 23: Ragnar Del Sol
- March 17: San Juan, Puerto Rico Half Ironman
Happy New Year. 2013 is going to be a good year. I can feel it…
