I am sooooo happy that I have a swim coach who not only makes a lesson plan but also gives stroke tips. Colleen, if you are reading this, thank you, thank you! I’ve never had anyone give me tips on improving my stroke. Ever! Now I’m going to look forward to every Monday evening (instead of dreading the swim).
Today’s session was a pretty hard 2,400 meters because we mixed in some butterfly and backstroke (IM ladder of 100-200-300-200-100), followed by sprints. My shoulders and biceps are just a bit sore, but in a good way. After the swim we had a bit of an uncomfortable conversation about one of my friends (who shall remain unnamed). Ah…I am not a big fan of drama, but drama there was! I guess sometimes it is good to feel uncomfortable and not say much. It must be good for something (I’m not sure what).
On my way home from the gym, I called Binita who was having wine at Amaro with the Whoopie Babes. Of course, I promptly drove over to Amaro and had some sort of sausage burger. I needed protein after the had swim (or so I told myself). Once again, I am stuffed as I write this.
As for Ragnar, we are still one person short in van 1. We have all kinds of feelers out, but no luck. I’m not sure why Brett just doesn’t pick up someone from the “runners looking for teams” listing. 4 more days.
Naman is coming to town for the weekend and so is Amit. It will make for a festive food-heavy time. I look forward to their arrival.
