The FireFly race this Saturday evening is on my mind. Last year, under perfect conditions, I had a PR of 20:07 for this 5k race. I doubt if I can match it this year, but I’ll give it everything I have.
I’m also thinking of doing another Ironman 70.3 race on September. I have narrowed the list down to Cazumel, Augusta and Soma (in Tempe, AZ which is not Ironman branded). I will decide by June 15 and probably sign up for one of these races.
I swam about 2,000 meters today at Lifetime Fitness. My body feels a bit tired and so does my mind; hence I decided to take it easy until next week. It should also help me re-energize for the race on Saturday.
