We were up early today to head to Agra. We left Delhi at around 8:30AM and were at the hotel (Trident) in Agra by 11:00AM. We made plans to go see Fatehpur Sikri today and the Taj Mahal tomorrow. Our guide was excellent and explained the entire mogul dynasty lineage as we drove to Fatehpur Sikri in the afternoon.
At Salim Chisti’s tomb, I tied two yellow/red threads. It is said that you could wish for anything and the wish would come true. I cannot reveal what my wishes were, but (for a change) they are completely unselfish. I sure hope the wishes come true!
Believe it or not, I managed to swim for about half-an-hour in that poor excuse of a swimming pool. There were not lanes, no indication that you are approaching the wall, and the wall tiles were smooth and slippery. I’m just happy that I swam for a bit!
I will include a few pictures from today in this blog and let the pictures do the talking!
