Bike Trainer | Gopher Snake | Tropic of Cancer

I exchanged a few emails with Bill Wilson (my coach) of Camelback Coaching and he asked me to take it a bit easy this week to fully recover. It is irritating that my upper respiratory system is still a bit congested. I got on my bike trainer and rode for only 45 minutes; although I went pretty hard for about 30 of them!

In the evening we went out for a lovely dinner at this little restaurant called Emilys on Pinnacle Peak and Pima in North Scottsdale. The food and atmosphere were absolutely perfect. If you are into small, intimate places personally run by owners with excellent food and charming ambiance, this is the place for you.

In the evening, we also saw this baby gopher snake. He was actually kinda cute but a bit nervous and agitated; he was only 2-feet long, obviously a baby!

Today’s picture from India was taken by Will and shows the Sun Temple in Modhera, Gujarat. The series of doorways that you see are EXACTLY on the Tropic of Cancer. Once a year (summer solstice), in the morning the sun shines through these doorways. Apparently, a thousand years ago, there were diamonds and other precious gems that illuminated the entire temple from the inside.
