I went solo on my 2-hour bike ride in North Scottsdale. It was chilly when I started but quickly warmed up. Surprisingly, there weren’t too many bicyclists out and traffic was subdued. North Scottsdale has some good riding with great views of the McDowell Mountains and nice wide bike lanes on most roads. While there are some steep hills, most of the roads have a gentle grade making for comfortable riding. Sometimes the wind does play havoc on bicyclists, but today it was a quiet breeze.
I rode 33 miles today; the first half uphill and the second half downhill. My heart rate was pretty well-managed mostly in the 140s. “Good ride,” I told myself after I was finished.
