Everything came together today. I felt good and confident, the weather was cool and windless and there was barely any traffic. I haven’t had a run with a sub-8-minute-per-mile average in as long as I can remember, but today changed that. Take a look at my splits. The slight variations are because of the slight uphills and downhills around my office.
It makes me happy and builds confidence for my upcoming 1/2 marathon. I don’t expect to PR or even come close, but now I am targeting a total time of around 1:42 for the race (My PF Chang’s PR is 1:37:xx and my overall PR is 1:33:xx). This is not an “A” race for me!
