Off the charts

Team K-LAR had a bike-ride planned this morning around my house but I couldn’t go because of my health issues. I did join them for brunch at Over Easy and as usual, the conversation centered around triathlons. Kristin gave me the new K-LAR shirt for the BikeMS ride in Cottonwood in mid-May. I have no idea if I will be able to do it! Kristi and Kristin are training for Roth (scheduled in July) and they seem to be doing quite well.

After brunch, I went straight to Safeway to get my BP checked and it was off the charts. It is quite concerning to see a 165 over 98 number show up on the monitor. I have no idea what to make of it. My shortness of breath remains even after I climb a single flight of stairs. It is a far cry from being able to run forever!

In the evening, Kristi, Will and I went out for a nice dinner at Beckett’s Table. Will is moving to San Francisco and I will surely miss having him around. After our trip to India, we have become good friends. He is full of ideas and we usually talk about business ideas and triathlons. I find nothing more stimulating that that!!
