This is a picture of a Costa’s humminbird that I took a couple of years back. You can see his shimmiring purple plumage in perfect light in this picture. Sometimes, we have hummingbird wars around my house. Two species of hummingbirds go it it to claim their territory around the hummingbird feeder. The Costa’s usually wins over the Ruby Throated (although the nest I mentioned yesterday is a female Roby Throated Hummingbard – I think).
I biked for an hour at Lifetime Fitness on the stationary bike. In spite of riding the French Alps on the simulator, it was pretty boring!
