Another eventful day in Garza Blanca, Puerto Vallarta

Day 2 at Garza Blanca was dotted with various random activities mostly around the resort. We relaxed by the negative-edge pool, ate a few tacos, chips and quesadillas with fresh guac, veggies, queso, etc. and had a few mango margaritas on the rocks with lots of salt on the rim. We walked around in the lush tropical vegetation and gazed at birds from our balcony (notably the Kiskadee).

The big news was that Binita’s bag finally arrived in the afternoon. She was happy and so was I. Little joys!

In the late afternoon, I went to the gym and ran for a bit longer than an hour on the treadmill for 12km (since we are in Mexico, I have temporarily adopted the metric system). It was hot and humid even in the gym and made for tough running conditions. At least there were no hills!

In the evening we went to town to PiPi’s restaurant where the size of margarita-bowls were huge and the mariachi band was excellent. We had the restaurant rocking when we requested Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond. It was a huge hit and the band continued on with pop tunes from Clapton, Beatles and CCR.

It was another long day, but in a good way. Tomorrow morning, we will hike to a couple of waterfalls where we will (apparently) take a dip in the natural lagoons.
