I expect to run my first race since my medical issues this summer. It will be a tiny little 5k on Turkey day, but it will get me back into racing. I have always said that 5k races are really hard because you go all out and the last half-a-mile is sheer torture. If I can run it in anything close to 21 minutes, I will be super-happy. My PR for a 5k is at 19:47 (the only time I have broken the 20-minute barrier). I hope to maintain a 7-minute-per-mile pace and see if I can finish strong.
I went to The Village for an abs workout this evening. It is becoming a Monday evening routine for me.
