It has been 4 months since Simi passed away. That was the saddest day of my life. Not a day goes by where I don’t think of her. Most times they are fond memories. It seems like just yesterday when she was a puppy in our old home on Burnside Trail. For the most part, she lived well. We flew to Cleveland when she was a pup and she got to play in the snow in November; we took her to the beach in San Diego a few times; and the walks in the parks around my house were her favorite. She also had some tough times though; like the rattlesnake bite when she was a puppy. Her smiling portrait sits in our kitchen now.
After work today, I went to The Village for an hour-long stationary bike spin. I did easy intervals which regulated my heartrate in the 130s and low 140s. It felt good to sweat.
Our travel plans are shaping up. It looks like we will travel to Paris after Rhodes (Greece). Some airlines are offering pretty aggressive business-class fares. We’ll see how it all pans out.
