After a tough few weeks, today is the beginning of rest week. This week, I have easy 30, 40 and 60-minute runs at an easy level 1/2 pace. Other than a few minor aches and pains, I survived the long runs, fartleks and tempo efforts in good health. I will enjoy this week. Towards the end of the week, I have to test my lactate threshold again. I expect to see improvement but you never know!
Next weekend I am scheduled to run the Phoenix Half Marathon. We’ll see if I can run it around 1:40 this time. After that race, another tough training month begins.
I went for abs today at The Village. It was the usual torture from Julie for 30 minutes.
