German beer girls in Scottsdale

Jade dressed up as a German beer girl

There was a fund raiser at Gordon Biersch in Scottsdale this evening organized by The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Dozens of volunteers were raising money by washing cars, conducting raffles and dressing up as German beer girls to serve patrons; all while drinking beer. I showed up for a short time to offer (mostly) moral support. I’m not sure how much money LLS raised but it was close to a packed house!

Before heading out to Gordon Biersch, I ran on the treadmill for 30 minutes. I have blogged that my training is stunted these days. This will last for about 6 weeks.

Since my mother-in-law is in Illinois and Michigan, I take Missy to the office often. She doesn’t like to be alone at home and she enjoys her time at the office. It is sad to see her slow down so much in the past six months, but she remains a happy and loyal pup. She still follows me everywhere at home and at work. I wonder if she knows how much I still miss Simi…
