Post-race tired legs after the 15k last week

Either my legs are tired from the 15k race on Saturday, or the treadmill that I ran on today was hard. I only ran 5.5 miles but it felt labored and difficult. I just didn’t have the energy or the motivation to run today. It may be because I didn’t get as much sleep as I regularly do.

I have started watching the Tour de France early every morning. Most people here in the US are into mainstream (aka primitive) sports like football, basketball and baseball. The rest of the world seems obsessed with football (aka soccer) and cricket. Triathlons, cycling and running are followed by a small percentage of folks who understand what REAL athleticism means. Tour de France is one of the hardest (and most prestigious) endurance sports. If you have never done an endurance event, you simply won’t get it! On the other hand, if you want to see real athletes dig deep every day, watch the Tour de France.
