In the mail yesterday I received a Rock n Roll Double Beat medal. I ran the PF Chang’s Arizona Half Marathon and the Seattle Half Marathon (both organized by the same organization) this year to receive this medal. It is actually a pretty cool one!
In the afternoon today, I went for a cardio and weights interval workout at The Village. It was short sprints on the indoor track to get my heartrate up into level 3 and then torturing my muscles by using weights for a couple of minutes. You should try it, it is a fun workout and not too hard on the body!
Tomorrow is the official start of the 14-week training program for the New York Marathon. The countdown will begin with a relative easy first couple of weeks. Saturdays will be tough days with long runs (especially in the Arizona heat)!
