It poured today. It rained so hard for a few minutes that if you stood outside for only 5 seconds, you would be completely drenched. I loved it. The smell of wet desert coupled with an electric lightning storm was enough to invigorate anyone.
Technically, today was rest day but I took the liberty of running a couple of blissful miles in the gentle drizzle after the lashing rain had stopped. All I ran was a loop in my neighborhood; I ran by Ethel’s Park, by Chess Park, up the hill around the Stone House, back down, around the lake and then back home. It was an easy, comfortable run with a gentle breeze, light sprinkling rain and overcast skies. The picture above is a selfie by the lake near my house taken towards the end of the run.
