My first day of Xarelto-free living felt uncontaminated and free. Maybe it’s all in my head but the air seems fresher, the food and water taste better and the flow of my body seems zen. Needless to say, I am happy to be drug-free for the first time in 18 months.
I saw a full moon rise over the McDowell Mountains at The Village as I was headed into bootcamp. I took the picture above just as I was entering the gym. As bootcamp classes go, today’s was a relatively easy one.
I signed up to run the Fountain Hills Turkey Trot 5k on Thanksgiving day. It is a slightly up and down course and I have no aspirations of a PR but hope to run a solid 7-minute-mile race. The weather is expected to be nice and cool with mild breezes. It should make for good racing conditions. With a little bit of luck, I may even medal in my age group.
